After this session, we will together decide if we believe we can form a mutually beneficial relationship. Top of Page The Client/Coach Agreement Once we decide to work together, we will review the Client/Coach agreement. This agreement is a relatively simple document, but very important to both of us. The Client/Coach agreement outlines the initial term, rate and payments, method of contact for your coaching sessions, and any other important details about our relationship. More importantly, our agreement will include a high level description of what you are hoping to achieve as a result of the coaching experience. Top of Page Session Scheduling Typically, we will schedule 3 weekly sessions per month, leaving the fourth week of the month for you to either catch your breath, complete additional action items, or just relax. Sessions will be scheduled for the same day and time each week as clients find that with the regularity they are able to avoid conflicts and scheduling stress, and are therefore able to achieve better results from the sessions. As your coach, I will make every attempt possible to keep my schedule as flexible as possible. For your success, it is important that we can find a session time that is not only available for you, but also provides you with the best opportunity to be relaxed and able to focus on our work together. Top of Page Session Length Coaching sessions are typically 40-45 minutes long although in some situations we may schedule a 30 minute session. Top of Page Where are sessions conducted? Coaching sessions can be handled Face-to-Face or by telephone. For efficiency purposes, telephone sessions are preferable, however some clients may find that an in-person session is more effective. In-Person coaching is available in North East Florida at my office (directions will be provided when the session is scheduled). Your session can also be conducted at your home or office, although additional charges may be incurred for travel time. If you have a scheduled phone session, you are responsible for initiating the call at the scheduled time. In addition to standard telephone service, telephone sessions can also be conducted using the Skype Internet based phone service. Top of Page Session Feedback As your coach, I will be providing you feedback about what I am seeing, hearing , and feeling from you, and about your progress towards making your goals a reality. At the end of each session, I will ask you for feedback on how you feel the session went, and what key items you will take away from the session (including any homework assignments). I will ask you to summarize the session on a Session Log and email it to me. The Session Log is an important part of the process since the writing of the Log will reinforce the discussions in your mind. In addition, the log will become part of your Coaching history that we will refer back to periodically. Session logs are also an important part of the feedback I receive from you, and will help as I make adjustments to our coaching sessions. Top of Page Session Confidentiality It is important that your trust your coach with the confidentiality of the information your are sharing and discussing. Any lack of trust in the relationship will make it impossible for you to achieve the greatness you are working towards. As your coach, I firmly commit to the confidentiality of all information you share, and that we discuss, as covered by the ICF Code of Ethics and the laws of the State of Florida. Top of Page Being Late or Canceling a Session Respect for each other’s time is critically important in the Client/Coach relationship. If you are late for your session, the session will continue, and will end and the previously scheduled time. If I am late for the session, we will agree on when I will make up the time to you. In the event that you need to cancel a session, you must notify me 48 hours or more prior to the session or you will be charged for the session. The ONLY exception to this policy is in the event of a verifiable emergency situation or illness. I will provide you with the same courtesy of a minimum of 48 hours notice of a schedule change. Top of Page Terminating the Client/Coach Relationship Communication, connection, commitment are the keys to a successful relationship. In the event that either of us begins to feel that the relationship is not being effective, we will discuss the situation, and if required terminate our relationship. For each referral you send that commits to a 3-month program, you will receive one free session. Your free session will be added to the end of your current pre-paid sessions.
